Comprehensive analysis of electronic components: from basics to classification, master all knowledge in one article!
1、Overview of Common Components
In electronic design,we often come into contact with discrete components that exist separately and are not integrated into other components. They are the foundation for building electronic circuits and systems, covering many types such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, etc. These components play a crucial role in circuits, selected and combined according to different needs to achieve specific functions of the circuit.
2、Resistance
Resistors are the core components in circuits, and their function is to obstruct the flow of current. Its unit is ohms, closely related to voltage and current. There are various types of resistors, including fixed resistors, variable resistors, and special-purpose resistors such as thermistors and photoresists.
3、Capacitor
A capacitor is a component capable of storing electric charge, consisting of two conductor plates and an insulating medium between them. When a voltage is applied across the capacitor,it stores charge and generates an electric field. The capacity of a capacitor is measured in farads and is closely related to charge and voltage. They are widely used in circuit functions such as power smoothing, filtering, and coupling.
4、Inductance
Inductance is a component that generates a magnetic field, and when current passes through it,a magnetic field is generated around it.The unit of an inductor is Henry, which is related to magnetic flux and current.Inductors are commonly used in circuits for applications such as energy storage, filtering, and signal conversion.
5、Diode
A diode is a semiconductor device with unidirectional conductivity that allows current to flow only in one direction.Common types of diodes include rectifier diodes, voltage regulator diodes, and light-emitting diodes. They play key roles in rectification, voltage regulation, and display in circuits.
6、Transistor
A transistor is a semiconductor device with amplification function, consisting of three regions:the emitter region, the base region, and the collector region. It is widely used in circuit applications such as signal amplification and switch control.
7、MOSFET(Field Effect Transistor)
MOS transistor is a semiconductor device that uses an electric field to control the magnitude of current. It has the characteristics of high input impedance, low noise, and good frequency characteristics, and is commonly used in signal processing and power control applications in circuits.
8、Automatic recovery fuse
Automatic recovery fuse is an overcurrent protection device, which is unique in that it can automatically disconnect the circuit when the current exceeds its rated value to protect the circuit from overcurrent damage.Once the current returns to normal,it will automatically return to a conducting state, ensuring the continuous and stable operation of the circuit.
9、Linear regulator
A linear regulator is an electronic circuit designed to maintain a constant output voltage, unaffected by changes in input voltage or load current. It achieves this function through a pass element(usually a transistor)and a feedback resistor network. When the input voltage or load current changes, the feedback network will adjust the conduction degree of the pass element accordingly to maintain the stability of the output voltage.Despite the slow response speed and relatively low efficiency of linear regulators, their good stability, high simplicity, and low noise make them indispensable in many applications. Its common types include L78 series,AM11117 series, and XC6206.
